Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is life coaching?

Life coaching is a collaborative process between a coach and client(s) that focuses on personal development, goal-setting, and achieving desired outcomes in various areas of life. It is a forward-focused process that helps clients identify their goals, develop actionable plans, and enhance their overall well-being. Coaches provide support, motivation, and guidance to facilitate growth, self-discovery, and improved well-being. Unlike therapy, coaching is primarily focused on the future and on actionable strategies to reach your aspirations.

  • Who can benefit from life coaching?

My coaching services are specifically designed for neurodivergent individuals and marginalized communities. I understand the unique challenges you may face and offer a supportive environment where you can thrive. I also provide coaching specifically for gifted children and their parents, helping them navigate the complexities of giftedness and foster healthy development.

  • What is the difference between life coaching and mental health counseling/therapy?

While both life coaching and mental health counseling aim to improve well-being, they serve different purposes:

    • Life Coaching focuses on helping clients set and achieve specific goals, improve personal effectiveness, and enhance overall quality of life. Coaches work with clients who are generally mentally stable and looking to make positive changes or pursue personal growth.

    • Mental Health Counseling/Therapy involves diagnosing and treating psychological disorders or emotional challenges. Counselors typically hold licenses and provide therapy for issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, or other mental health concerns. Counseling addresses past experiences and how they affect the present.

If you are experiencing significant mental health issues, I recommend consulting with a licensed mental health professional before engaging in life coaching.

  • What services do you offer?

I offer a range of coaching services tailored to meet diverse needs:

    • Individual Coaching: One-on-one sessions focused on your unique goals and challenges

    • Group Coaching: Collaborative sessions where participants share experiences and support each other in achieving common goals

    • Workshops and Classes: One-time events that explore specific topics or skills, providing valuable insights and tools for personal development

  • How do I know if life coaching is right for me?

If you are looking to make positive actionable changes, set achievable goals, or gain clarity in your life, life coaching may be a good fit for you. Our approach is especially beneficial for individuals seeking to explore their potential and address the unique challenges faced by neurodivergent and marginalized populations.
